How do you regrow hair?

Millions of people around the world look for answers to this simple question every day. They consult the best trichologists near them and spend a better part of their weekend googling shampoos and oils that guarantee hair growth. People resort to expensive hair transplant treatment plans for cosmetic reasons and some also try supplements to regain lost hair. After all, with hair being one of the first features that people notice when they meet someone, it thus comes as no surprise that people spend so much time and money to ensure healthy hair growth and to prevent thinning of hair on the scalp.

It is possible that there might be an underlying health condition that leads to severe hair fall and other hair and skin issues in individuals. At the same time, not having a balanced, healthy diet as well as not getting at least 8 hours of sleep every day can trigger loss of hair on the scalp. Stress and lack of essential nutrients in the body can also exacerbate hair loss.

It is important that you consult a medical professional to ascertain the real cause of hair fall before trying out any artificial hair loss remedy as they can do more damage to the roots and make your hair brittle and dry. Instead, you can turn to your kitchen for help and try out herbal home remedies to promote hair growth and to prevent hair fall. Here are some of them:

1) Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has numerous health benefits because of its medicinal properties. Moreover, it can be applied directly onto the scalp or consumed in the form of juice.

This plant has enzymes that help to restore the damaged cells on the scalp. Apply liberal amounts of aloe vera gel onto the scalp and work your way to the hair ends 1-2 times a week. Leave it overnight. You can also add onion juice to your aloe vera gel for better results.

2) Henna Leaves

This is a time-tested remedy for hair loss which has been used by Indian and Middle-Eastern women for centuries. You will need one cup of henna leaves to make your own henna mask. Blend it with some water to form a paste. Apply that paste on your hair and leave it for half an hour. You can also add an egg white if you want silkier hair.

Remember that henna can stain your clothes and furniture very easily. So make sure that you wear protective clothing and gloves to avoid the same. Additionally, remember that the paste becomes a dye-like solution. This means that your hair might change color depending on how long you decide to keep the mask.

3) Hibiscus

Both the flower and the leaves of the hibiscus plant can be used to tackle thinning hair in women and men. This is because hibiscus is loaded with the goodness of antioxidants and vitamins which accelerate hair growth.

So how can you use hibiscus leaves and flowers for hair growth? Blend 2 hibiscus flowers and 5 leaves and use a little coconut oil. Massage it on your scalp and roots and work your way outwards. Leave it on for an hour.
